I had to do some web search for an educational program. I was preparing for the TOEFL examination and came across the term andmiddot when I searched the data for example English as a second language or employment job in America. I tried to figure it's meaning by using contents but still have no clue since I speak English as a second language myself. Some examples: foreign English teacher andmiddot; Taiwan andmiddot; English andmiddot;

So what is the function of this word? When I started to search the web for this word it made me even more curious to find out.

Maybe someone can explain thank and I hop this is not some very basic knowledge but it isn't indexed in any dictionary.
