Spoiler on discord are useful to alert others that you are about to give information about something that someone is not ready for. Once this tag is added another user will only see a grey or black box over the content. Adding spoiler tags is easier than ever. After typing a message (but before sending it), you can highlight the text and right-click on the section. This will reveal the option to add a spoiler tag. Click Mark as Spoiler. Once you’ve done this, you will see two vertical pipes will appear on both sides of the selected content. This means that other users will be unable to see the content until click to reveal it.
To add spoiler tags with Markdown, all you need to do is type your phrase out, and surround it with two bars on either side. These bars will ensure your message is hidden within a spoiler tag, requiring others to click to reveal the information.
