It woulda been so cool to hear the C. Brass!! It must have been fun!

Friday night was great, too, I had a lot of fun playing with the Wind Ensemble.  It was just one piece, though.

It's got so many dotted eighth notes in it/I'd keep 'er under fifty beats a minute

Guess what?  Guess again!

I got accepted into the NATIONAL YOUTH BAND OF CANADA!!

Which means I'll be in Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia (east coast of Canada) for 10 days, touring with famous musicians and having tons of fun!  The age limit for this is 16-21, which means I made it in at the minimum age... I wasn't even 16 when I sent in my audition tape... so I'm thrilled!!!  I can't wait I can't wait I can't wait!!!

Oh, and I got a MySpace a few days ago!  Check it out!

....and I deleted my MySpace....

but that's old news!

Now I'm playing with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra with MY orchestra in a concert on the 25th of January!  We're playing Pines of Rome, and if you've seen the movie Fantasia, you'd recognize it.  You can download it too, or I'll send you a copy if you want one.  I'm so excited!  I'm playing a bass clarinet with Richard Klassen (other clarinetist in the WSO) and he's so cool!

But... it was too good to be true... I dropped my mouthpiece on the ground at the rehearsal and it cracked in two... and tomorrow is the FRIGGIN CONCERT!!!!

Luckily, Richard Klassen had an extra bass clarinet mouth piece that he lent to me for tonight and tomorrow (thank GOD!) and my mom's going to pick up a replacement mouthpiece so I'm ready for next regular orchestra practice (for the spring concert) on saturday...  my heart literally flipped over in my chest when my mouthpiece broke and then righted itself again when Richard handed his mouthpiece to me.

The good thing was the insurance of the bass clarinet covered the mouthpiece as well, so I got another mouthpiece for free... it's not as good as the one before, but at least I'm not keeping the clarinet (I'm giving it back in April).

Anyway, I just booked my flight to go to Charlottetown and back from Halifax... so excited!!

Well, I haven't posted for like ever, so I thought I would. I have been so busy with school and studying for exams. It's been crazy. I'm sorry that I have been not here for such a long time. I had it set so that it sends me e-mails when someone posts and it suddenly stopped doing that and I didn't realize so I just figured that everyone was busy and stuff.. Then today, I remembered about it and decided to come and post!
So what have I been up to?? Hmm... fighting with friends (all problems solved and good) lol.. uh.. School, music, band, concerts, work. Tomorrow is the first day of our second semester, and I have math, science, comm tech, and business.. i'm pretty excited. But I am going to go now.... post some other replies in other threads!

Laters
Peace In!!
Jess

Definitely!  I mean, Raphaela and I had some fun just by ourselves (*cough* our own thread), but we like company too!!  Welcome back!
