I know I just joined like ... an hour ago, but I thought to myself .. hey, this is an opportunity, and I should grab it , so I'm just gonna ask ..

What are you all up to?

I don't know .. that seemed like a fair enough question.

What am I up to, you may ask?  I'm very preoccupied with Marching Band right now.  It turns out that we aren't exactly where we thought we would be at this point in time.  The new students are struggling a little and the older guys are getting a little edgy.  And you know what that means.  I get frustrated at times but then I think ... hey ... I'm making music ... so that's a good thing right?

RIGHT

Because I'm the section leader of the trombones ... (and there are 14 of them).  I frequently lose my voice by the end of rehearsal because I'm yelling so much .. hahah ... except I usually yell for good things ... like "Good job!"  and such and such.  But I promise you all .. once I get enough good pictures, I'll put them up here right away.  So far, I haven't had a chance to get pictures taken, and even if they were taken, they aren't very good quality.  So if you all could wait a bit more.

If you can't tell, I write a lot.

Deal with it ...

So ... once again

What's up?

I wanna hear all about your exciting lives! (or lack thereof)  Both are welcome

Because it seems that nobody wanted to answer your question IŽll just begin! (I guess most of the others didnŽt want to read your very long introduction! )

Well, I was working for the last 2 weeks at a tenniscamp in my hometown. The first week was for the bigger ones, who can already play tennis quite well and there I worked as a tennisteacher on the court and I also trained them outdoors, so I went running with them and I trilled them on the footballcourt... The second week was more exhausting, because it was the week of the smaller children and I donŽt lie when I say that the youngest was just 3 years old!!! That week I wasnŽt a teacher on the court, but I had to watch after all this children and I had to occupy them... It was just horrible, because they were so small and I had to go to toilet with them and help them there!!!!

But now this job is over and my holiday`s every day life begins again. And I already have many plans for the next week! Tomorrow IŽll go for a horse ride after a 4 yearŽs break!!! And IŽm really looking forward to it! Moreover IŽll go to a party tomorrow night and on Tuesday IŽll knock out my dad and IŽll oranize a party in my house (you could all come if you want to !) I think my other activities arenŽt very interesting - IŽll play some tennis, go to rehearsal of my ensemble, see some friends of mine....

Well, I think I wrote too much and now itŽs your turn! IŽm waiting....

Heya. I like this thread! Anyway, I just bought a new Clarinet and I'm ordering another one, so I'll have 4, but then I'm selling my first one, and my second one eventually. but I practiced yesterday and it sounded so good! What else? Just getting ready for school and such. and planning my trip to Europe!

Ack, summer is almost over.  That makes me sad.  :(<br>

Wow, you must love tennis! We have a tennis court at our house but I am still extremely bad.  Extremely.  If you ever come back to Canada you should give me a lesson!

That's so cool you got a new clarinet, Meg. What sort is it? As my level of proficiency is somewhere around -12, I think I must stick with my plastic one for now.    However, there is talk of a new trumpet somewhere in the future, and that would be nice-o.

As for me, I'm occupying my time with tons of polo (we won our tournament last weekend!) and jumping my hunter.  We had our last show this weekend, and now the Manitoba circuit is finished for the year.  It's been a long summer!...

...and school's in a week!

It's got so many dotted eighth notes in it/I'd keep 'er under fifty beats a minute

You have your own tenniscourt at your house??   Is this just normal in Canada or is there any special reason (some tennis-stars in your family or something like that??)

Moi, I really like playing tennis, but the last year I didnŽt play so much because I didnŽt have enough time... But IŽm sure IŽll go to Canada some day in the next years and then weŽll go for a play!

So ... I just about died at last night's evening band rehearsal.  There were a lot of people just messing around and weren't listening and I had to yell for BAD things this time.  Guh .... then after the full band rehearsal, the trombones had a sectional and that wasn't any better.

I pretty much lost my voice.

mmhmm ...

well I'm gonna go to the gym now

later days

Woah- people are having band rehersals over the summer? I don't think there is a band in Manitoba as committed as that (aside from the university one)...

What I've been up to; I went to a one week hockey camp. It was 7 hours a day and we had to do all sorts of things like sprinting with Tires and parachutes. It was interesting. Near the end of the camp, I ripped the tendons on top of my foot, leaving me unable to walk. Luckily I can walk fine now.

I also went down for a trip to Yellowstone National Park in the U.S. That was pretty fun; I went for a 3 day horseback ride and a 2 day kayak ride... we saw Old Faithful to. It was pretty exciting.

Right now I'm preparing for my school Wind Ensemble's audition, practicing for my Varsity Hockey and Volleyball tryouts and I have soccer practice in 4 hours....

School starts on the 5th!!

Our school's already started.  School over here starts on August 17th ish ... But the plus side is that we get out of school at the end of May for summer vacation.  But on the other hand ...... our school's marching band has a 2 week camp before school starts.  It's pretty intense .. but it's a lot of fun.

I dunno .. just wanted to clarify a few things

Sweet! We just started school on the 31st of August. I hate all my classes though. They suck....well except for music...The only bad thing about my music class, is there is only 14 people in the class. It kinda sucks....but at the same time it is sorta fun. Yup...but ya, it's going good here.lol

Well I have homework to do now...

Cya

Peace in...
