Happy Birthday!  And it's a U of M Wind Ensemble concert thing, I'm playing one song with them for kicks, I guess. :P I think it's a 7:00 pm.

It's got so many dotted eighth notes in it/I'd keep 'er under fifty beats a minute

Today I´ve a concert with the band of my hometown and I´m quite nervous, because we play our programm not very well. For me it´s a very busy concert too, because I´m playing solo-parts with the clarinet, sax and trumpet and moreover I´ll conducting 4 pieces.... I hope it will be at least ok....

You conduct?  That's awesome!!  I love conducting!!  Good luck Raph!

I just had my concert with the Canadian Brass!!  It was friggin sweet... and I got autographs!  They did this piece where they took the opera "Carmen" and acted it out while playing their instruments... sooo funny!  My dad recorded the concert so if anyone wants a copy let me know!

Everything went very well yesterday - the 4 pieces I had to conduct were awesome and my solo-parts too. Moreover I had to speak to the audience and that was the part I was nervous most... But the evening ended very successfully and I got a bunch of flowers for my work!

I saw the Canadian Brass live a few years ago as well, and funny enough ... they did Carmen for us too!  The tuba guy is hilarious ... I'm not gonna lie.  And the trumpet player's ridiculous and can do the whole circular breathing deal ... I dunno if he's still in the group .. it's been a few years ... but HEY! I got autographs too!!

Yeah, he did the circular breathing thing too... I mean, who could hold a note for 50 seconds?  I'm not kidding.

Congrats Raphaela! I'm glad everything went well for you

Thank you!

I didn´t know Canadian Brass yet, but I´ve heard GermanBrass last year at a concert and  they are really great too... I was really depressed when I left concert because I knew that I´ll never play like them!
