a. What is it? It's an open and free party where the delegates from each country bring beverages and foods of their region as well as displays, flags or whatever they want to show their culture.
b. What to bring? Beverages from your region (alcoholic or not), cups (if you're serving, bring disposable cups), foods, etc.
c. Where and when? Monday, after opening ceremonies, in the Badminton Stadium at PKU. Complete info will be available in the conference handbook which your head delegate will collect during registration.
We'll have a DJ, and there will be a bar set up as well.
One caveat. Since the party is right next to the medical students' dormitory, the PKU team asked us to shut it down at 11PM. After that it may continue (at your discretion) elsewhere. The host team can offer many suggestions.
If you have any special needs for Global Village, please email Stephanie, head of social events with the host team at:
Cabaret
a. What is it? Also another great party and a WorldMUN trademark. It is an opportunity for you and/or your team to display special talents. In the past, teams have performed the Hakka, danced latin tunes, demonstrated joke telling skills, skits, and Brazilian capoeira.
**Your team is strongly encouraged to prepare in advance for this** Nothing extensive, but some organization has proved "successful" in the past.
Since there isn't enought time for everybody to perform, we may have to be selective.
If you want to perform, please email Stephanie or stop by Delegate Services by Tuesday, March 28, to sign up.
b. Where and when? Friendship Hotel, wednesday night. Buses will be provided for delegates staying at the Youdian Hotel.
c. What else? You can also bring your music to be played. Should you need anything special for your performance, please also contact Stephanie at:
There will be a bar set up by the hotel, but you're welcome to bring your own drinks.
After the presentations are over, the room turns into a night club
Also: Wer mag, gerne eigene Musik mitbringen (hehe...
