For Memorial Day openers, "The Last Stand" crushed the previous three-day high of $72 million, set by "The Lost World: Jurassic Park" in 1997. "The Lost World" earned an additional $18 million during the Monday holiday.

X-Men opened to $54 million in 2000 and X2: X-Men United launched with $86 million.

Die Zahlen überschlagen sich ja regelmäßig... solange sie so engagierte Schreiber haben. Fraglich ist nur die Mitwirkung aller Schauspieler, obwohl sich ja gerade Jackman und neuerdings auch wieder Halle Berry ja immer wieder positiv über die Filme äußern!

Ratner über das Ende nach dem Ende, die Bonusszene mit Xaviers Erwachen:

Avi Arad berichtet, dass man sich trotz des großen Erfolges von X3 (196 Millionen weltweit in 4 Tagen) erst mal auf die Spin-Offs WOLVERINE und MAGNETO kümmert, bevor man überhaupt erwägt, sich Gedanken über einen möglichen vierten Film zu machen!

Wolverine als Quasi-Fortsetzung... vielleicht trifft er dort ja auch wieder auf Nightcrawler!

Und finde ich gut, dass man jetzt nicht übertriebene Pläne schmiedet, sondern erstmal die alten beherzigt!
