steht zwar auf der Arsenal seite aber egal, nun steht's halt auch hier....
7. Tomas Rosicky Tomas became Arsène Wenger's first major signing of the summer when he completed a move from Borussia Dortmund shortly before the World Cup. The Czech international then showed exactly why the Arsenal manager was interested in his services with two stunning goals against the United States in Germany. A highly-rated attacking midfielder, Tomas has a wealth of top-level experience for a 25-year-old. He made 31 appearances in the Champions League for Dortmund and Sparta Prague and won domestic titles in both his home country and Germany. Tomas made his international debut aged just 17 and represented his country at the 2000 and 2004 European Championships. It was his play-off goal against Norway which secured the Czech Republic a place at the World Cup. Quick and skilful with a powerful shot and an eye for a pass, Tomas will fill the midfield void left by Robert Pires' recent departure. He can play in a number of positions and operated on the left flank during Arsenal's pre-season tour of Austria. My Year September Tomas continued his impressive start to life at Arsenal and endeared himself to his new fans with a wonder strike in the 2-1 win at Hamburg. Elsewhere, the Czech midfielder started against Manchester United, Sheffield United and Porto while making substitute appearancesappearances against Middlesbrough and Charlton. August A good start to life at Arsenal for the Czech international as Tomas started the 3-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia. A minor groin injury then ruled him out of the Premiership opener with Aston Villa before he returned to start the defeat at Manchester City.

Tomas Rosicky has visited his friend and international teammate Petr Cech after a freak accident left him needing emergancy surgery to relieve pressure on his brain.
A depressed fracture will see Cech out for a very long time yet, and Rosicky has been checking up on him.
When quizzed as to wether or not he had spoken to Cech since his injury, Rosicky said,
'I was visiting him yesterday, and he's doing much better than before and he's looking good, I hope for him and I wish him all the best and I wish he recovers as soon as possible.'
'I have played alot of times with him in the national team so we are good friends.'
It's never nice to see a player suffer any kind of injury, especially one so severe, so I'd like to take this opportunity (seen as the uproar and arguments have now died down) to wish Petr Cech a speedy recovery.

Rosicky. How do you pronounce it?
I'm really getting annoyed by the what commentators are calling Arsenals' new signing Rosicky. These are the variations I've heard so far...
- Row-zis-key
- Re-zis-key
- Re-zickey
- Row-zickey
What is the correct pronunciation? Now I'm really confused. I'm unsure about the correct spelling now too.
Best Answer - Chosen by AskerTom The correct pronunciation is probably in the list of answers somewhere but I don't know what it is. Apologies to whoever is correct.
I'm going for Tom now, although Rice Crispy was a close second.Hey just incase u are still unsure just wikipedia him heres the link :-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/tom%c3%a1%c...I think its pronounced Rositski = Row-sits-ski = )
The correct pronunciation here in Czech Republic is Ross itch kee.The correct spelling is Rosičky.Notice the c has a font above it which is a letter that exists in the Czech Alphabet. This letter is always pronounced like the english ch sound.
Sorry CT, My previous answer is wrong. My work colleague is Rosičky,so I assumed the new Arsenal signing had the same spelling.I've now been informed by my son, who's an Arsenal supporter, that Rosicky the football players name is Rosicky with a simple latin 'c'.That means pronunciation is 'Ross eats key'.I apologize for my mistake.
Ro - short sound (not 'row') sickey - make sure to pronounce the 'c' (like St MoriTZ).(I do speak his language as I lived in Prague for a couple of years). And the surname, correctly written down is "Rosický", ignore the above.
Ros=it=ski
I just call him Rice Crispy and if you say it fast enough nobody will know the difference but the real pronounciation is Rohz-is-key
Raw - Shi - Key

Oh nein!
