Hello, Ann-Sofie

I can not help you completely.
This plant is not aconitifolia.
It is known to us for a long time as B. platanifolia, but we think this is not
the good identification.
I have personally experienced this plant when I was a child in the house of my
parents in northern France brought from Portugal by a client (they were
dentists). It was one of my first begonias. It was already known in the
collections in France under that name and I think she was named in Belgium
where there were the best European collections during interwar period.
This name corresponds to the description of Charles Chevalier in 1938, director
of the Botanical Garden of Liege. But it is considered impaired by the US and
Brazilian nomenclators. It is possible that this is a hybrid of B. aconitifolia
or the true B. platanifolia. />
