Die Sims 3
Somehow I got the idea that people who are into ToB are, more often than not, fans of Monty Python as well.
Pete Cook seemed to be, at least. Mr. Gumby, anyone?

So...

I'm only here because of an accident, I don't like ToB at all!

(see http://www.karmastrology.com/spampage.shtml)

But always look on the bright side of life...

This Hopper is dead! It is deceased! It is no more! It is an ex-Hopper!

Ahem. The TV series wasn't *quite* my style, but I was in hysterics over the Quest for the Holy Grail before they even finished the credits...!

SAY NO MORE!!!

Now this seems to be the perfect place for my first post on this forum!
I picked my nickname BEFORE reading this thread, though! ;o)

Who'd think this place would grow this fast! I should have signed on earlier. Now I'm only number five in line. Guess it'll take some time for me to get over that. Anyway, Nummer 5 lebt!

Andrew seems to be the only one here I don't know yet, so let me send a short hello to the UK!
Hallo auch an Mario und Marcus! So schnell liest man sich wieder... ;o)

Und Kai: Gute Fahrt morgen! *g*

Cheers,
Dirk

This is not really about Monty Python, but closely related anyway:

I was absolutely surprised to hear that a hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy movie will come to the cinema this summer!!
Now I'm even more surprised that BBC is planning a new hgttg radio series, and that they have a MASSIVE web site on that topic (http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/hitchhikers/). Lots of stuff to study!!

Does anyone know any more details on the movie? Exept that it's starring John Malkovich?

How the f... was it possible that I never heard anything about this movie before?!?

Yeeeeeeees, I'm waiting so long for an movie about the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Per Anhalter durch die Galaxis) movie. I'v read all the 5 books of the triology Also some other books of Douglas Adams (and a biography like, i mean).

Here's a link to the offical movie site:

PS: I've seen the trash movie in 80's (hat auch kult-status erlangt irgendwie, auch wenn der absolut schlecht gemacht ist ).

I'm not sure if I like the trailer. But anyway, that's going to be big fun! And it'll be released one day after my birthday. In England at least. Hm, maybe I should think about spending my birthday in England this year...

You mean the original BBC television series?! I enjoyed that pretty much, I must say. Still have it on video tape somewhere. That should help me survive until summer...

Don't Panic!

I should warn people that I have all five books on my shelf (in English, of course) so that, should anyone start quoting, I'll be throwing them back faster than you can say Slartibartfast...

That's fine with me. Though I'm not sure where to find my English edition right now. I have to confess that I still haven't read all the books in English, only the first two of them, as far as I can remember...
