BENEFITS FOR TOURISTS in Uruguay

191/04 According to the decree of July 11, 2014, within the benefits to non-resident tourists extends until march 31, 2016.

Refund of VAT on tourism services provided to non-resident individuals until march 31, 2016, paid by debit or credit (non-corporate) issued abroad.

The ticket issued by POS, you must include the discount.

The services included are:

1-Service Restaurants, when rendered by restaurants, bars, pubs, cafes, cafes, tea rooms and the like, or by hotels, motels, apartment hotels, lodges, tourist holidays, country hotels, tourist farms, country inns, cottages and camping hostels, provided that such services do not integrate the concept of lodging.

2-catering services for parties and events performing.

3 Services for parties and events, not included in the previous section.

4-Lease vehicles without driver.

Returning 10.5% of the leases with tenants for tourism non-resident individuals, provided that the lease is made in Real Estate recorded and the means of payment used, whether debit or credit (non-corporate) issued abroad.

This refund will operate until march 31, 2016. The company issuing the card shall include in the statement, the discount listed on the ticket issued by the POS.

OTHER BENEFITS FOR TOURISTS:

1 Tax-Free Regime For purchases made in shops attached to the system, fulfilling the necessary formalities at the time of purchase and while the departure from the country occurs through any of the following border crossings: Carrasco International Airport, Laguna del Sauce Airport, Harbour of Montevideo, Colonia Harbour, Cruise Arrivals Terminal of Punta del Este, Bridge Salto - Concordia,Bridge Paysandú - Columbus and Fray Bentos bridge - Puerto Unzué. Upon leaving the country, you must complete the necessary formalities for reinstatement in duly identified positions.

2-IVA zero Hotels Profit for foreigners presenting valid identity document issued abroad. Being exonerated, this consumption invoice without VAT. So the tax is not charged, generating no return.
