Israeli forces dismantle E1 protest village

Israeli forces on Sunday dismantled a protest village set up by Palestinian activists east of Jerusalem last week.

Israeli forces raided the Ahfad Younis village in Eizariya early Sunday, witnesses told Ma'an, forcibly removing around 50 people from the area.

Fewer Israelis see US President Barack Obama as pro-Palestinian since his landmark visit to Israel and the occupied West Bank last week, according to an opinion poll published Friday.

The poll carried by the English-language Jerusalem Post newspaper found that just 16 percent of respondents said Obama was "pro-Palestinian" against 36 percent before the March 20 to 22 visit

A majority of Palestinians believe the US will fail to revive the Middle East peace process, according to a survey after Barack Obama's visit to the region, seen by AFP on Tuesday.

The Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research's report, conducted March 28-30, surveyed 1,270 people in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

The first major massacre in the 1948 War was the massacre of Deir Yassin on April 9110, 1948. It was designed to spread terror and panic among the Palestinian population in every city and village of Palestine in order to frighten them into fleeing, so that their homes and land could be confiscated for the use of Jewish colonialist settlers. The tactics of the Zionist Jews were to frighten defenseless people into fleeing their homes out of fear for their lives.

Two hundred and fifty people were slaughtered. Mutilating the bodies, even before death, the culprits cut off parts and opened the bellies of others. Nursing babies were butchered on the bosoms of helpless mothers.
