While slightly newer Mancunians, Elbow signed in 2001 to V2 Records and debut album, 2001's "Asleep In The Back", was acclaimed and nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. Our second record, "Cast Of Thousands" was also very successful and we played our biggest ever UK gig at Brixton Academy on the tour for that record. And their third "leaders of the free world" , released 2006 continued the critical praise for Elbow.
