How to Send Self-destructing Messages in Telegram Chats?
While using end-to-end encryption is probably secure enough for most messages in Telegram, you can go a step further and send messages that disappear after a specified amount of time. This way you don't have to manually delete the message later, so you can send it and forget about it without worrying about whether it's still there. To start a self-destructing message in Telegram App, you have to be in a Secret Chat. You can't send self-destructing messages in a regular chat, so make sure you're in a secret chat. If not, start one.
If you're using an iPhone, tap the stopwatch icon next to the message field area in a secret chat. On an Android phone, tap the ellipsis (three dots) in the upper right corner and select "Set Self-Destruct Timer," or just tap the little stopwatch icon next to the person's name or number at the top.
From there, you can choose from a variety of lengths of time - 1 to 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 1 hour, 1 day, or 1 week. No matter what you choose, the timer won't start until the message is viewed on the recipient's screen (you'll see two green check marks next to the message when it starts counting down).
Any messages you send to recipients after you set the timer, or any messages they send to you afterward, will have the same time limit for viewing. It doesn't just apply to the one message you plan to send -- it applies to all new messages in your secret chat. You can't just set a timer for a message and that's it.
Well, technically, you can just send a timed message - by setting a self-destruct timer, sending your message, then disabling the timer in the secret chat. Note that the timer does not affect messages sent or received before it was set, nor after it was disabled.
If you decide to send a photo with the self-destruct timer enabled in a secret chat, it will initially be hidden and the timer won't start until the recipient taps it to open it. Unlike written messages, photo messages show you and the recipient a countdown clock.
For videos, recipients must first download the video, then click to open it. Also, if the video is longer than the timer, the new timer is given the length of the video so they can at least watch the entire video.

How to Password Protect Your Telegram Chats for Extra Security?
If you're using Telegram's "Secret Chats" feature, which provides end-to-end encryption for your messages, then I highly recommend locking the app itself with a password, PIN, or password. While your phone itself may already have a secure lock screen, if it gets compromised, you'll at least have an extra layer of security around your important conversations.
This is important because all your secret chats in the Telegram Messaging App are stored only on your device and the recipient's device. These are the only two points of access to these encrypted messages. So if your messages are important enough to warrant that you use end-to-end encryption, they are important enough to lock down another mechanism.
How to set passcode lock for iPhone?
First, head to the "Settings" tab in the lower right corner of the app and select "Privacy and Security" from the list of options. Next, tap "Passcode Lock" under the Security heading, then tap "Turn Passcode On" on the following screen.
Next, you'll need to choose a four-digit passcode and verify it on the following screens. After that, you will see more options in the password lock settings.
By default, Telegram will automatically lock if you leave the app for 1 hour, but you can change it to 1 minute, 5 minutes or 5 hours. You can also disable this, but I don't recommend it.
If a four-digit passcode is not secure enough for you, you can turn off "Simple passcode". Enter your current four-digit passcode on the next screen, then choose a stronger alphanumeric passcode and confirm.
You can also turn on "Use Touch ID" to use your fingerprint instead of a password to unlock the Telegram app. After enabling this feature, you can still use your password at any time.
You can also lock Telegram manually from the "Chats" tab if you don't want to wait for the automatic lock to kick in, or you disabled it for some reason. At the top of the screen, just tap the open lock icon at the top and it will appear locked. Of course, it won't actually lock until you log out of the app, but once you do, you'll need to enter your passcode or Touch ID (if set up) to get back in.
How to set up a PIN or combination lock on Android?
The process is very similar on Android, but differs enough to warrant a separate section. Click the hamburger icon in the upper left corner, then click Settings in the sidebar menu. On the next page, select "Privacy & Security," then "Passcode Lock," and then turn on "Passcode Lock."
When prompted, enter a four-digit PIN of your choice or tap "PIN" and select "Password" to choose a more secure alphanumeric passcode. Then, confirm your PIN or password.
On Android, the "Use Fingerprint Unlock" option is turned on by default, so you can use your fingerprint to unlock as long as you have registered your fingerprint on the phone. You can also set auto-lock to 1 minute, 5 minutes, 5 hours or never.
Also, just like in the iOS version, you can manually lock the Telegram app by tapping the open lock icon in the upper right corner of the chat view, then exit the app. The next time you turn it on, you'll have to use your fingerprint, PIN, or password, depending on what you're using.
In my opinion, this is one of the reasons why Telegram is better than other security-focused messaging apps like Signal Private Messenger. While Signal allows you to set a passcode to lock the app on Android, there is no such option on iPhone.

23 Essential Apps That Work Well on Both Android and iOS
Brand loyalty is one of the major factors in our decision to choose a particular mobile device, but it doesn't have to be the whole equation. Educated consumers know that certain devices fit their budget and usage better than others, which means you can't always let the logo dictate which phone or tablet you buy.
For these reasons, many of us own multiple mismatched mobile devices from manufacturers, and in today's market, that means splitting our time between iOS and Android. For example, the difficulty becomes finding an app that syncs between an iPhone and a Samsung tablet—and that sounds uncommon, but there are actually quite a few apps that let you seamlessly sync between iOS and Android. seam switching.
Messaging app
Most messaging apps are internet-based, which means they only require a data connection to sync your conversations between devices. The first three apps work fine on iOS or Android, so it shouldn't take much convincing to get your friends to use them.
1. GB WhatsApp
If you're looking for an app that lets you message friends and family on Android and iOS, the first thing you should consider is the app's user base. GB WhatsApp has more users than almost anyone, and considering you get all the features you could possibly need in the messaging app while being able to pick up where you left off, it's almost a no-brainer.
2. Facebook Messenger
Perhaps the only messaging app that can rival GB WhatsApp in terms of user base is Facebook Messenger. Chances are, you already have a Facebook account, which means you can use this Android or iOS app to message all your friends, and the rich feature set makes the app even more fun to use.
3. Hangouts
Hangouts doesn't have as large a user base as the latter two options, but the app comes pre-installed on most Android devices and accounts for more than 80% of the mobile market. In addition to supporting iOS and Android, Hangouts is also available in Gmail, on the web, and via Chrome extensions for Windows, Mac, and Linux, so it's one of the most widely used messaging apps out there.
4. Google Drive
For years, Google Drive has been one of the most advanced cloud storage services, mainly because it includes cloud computing. This means that if you need to make changes to a file, there's no need to download it, edit it, and upload it again - you can simply make changes while it's still on Google's servers, so every one of your devices will always have access to the file's The latest version of.
5. OneDrive
Microsoft has recently invested a lot of time and money in their cloud storage service, starting with the rebranding from SkyDrive to OneDrive. The service now integrates seamlessly with Office 365 subscriptions, so if you're a heavy Word or Excel user, any file you create will be immediately available on iOS or Android.
6. Dropbox
If you just want to use the cloud storage service as an internet-based hard drive, Dropbox offers a nice and simple interface that's really easy to use. You can upload files from Android, iOS, Windows or Mac, then simply download the same files on any of your devices.
7. Google Photos
Cross-platform or not, Google Photos is one of the best photo apps out there. The app automatically backs up your photos to the cloud, meaning you can access them on any device shortly after you take them. Google Photos is pretty much a must-have app, considering the unlimited free storage and powerful search you can find pictures of just about any subject.
8. Amazon Photos
While Google Photos offers unlimited storage, there are some caveats. So if you prefer to store your images without compression or resolution caps, you might want to try Amazon Photos. The app features automatic backups, and your photos are also accessible on Windows or the web, but an Amazon Prime subscription is required.
9. Wunderlist
Wunderlist makes to-do lists incredibly easy, and it has a beautiful interface. You have instant access to lists and notes on any phone, tablet or computer, and your progress is synced. Best of all, lists can be shared, so collaboration with family and friends is a seamless experience.
10. Google Keep
Google Keep is like the Swiss Army Knife of these kinds of apps. You can use the app to take notes and reminders, create to-do lists, draw pictures, record audio clips, and even save photos—all creations that can be shared to collaborate with other users.
11. Evernote
If you're looking for a non-Google app with tons of features, Evernote is for you. Notes and to-do lists are the core features, but extras like offline site saving, easy collaboration, and the ability to upload documents as attachments make it a one-stop shop.
Calendar application
Keeping track of your schedule is an ongoing task, but a good calendar
app can make it less tedious. Many calendar apps store your schedule
locally, but these next two apps sync with some of the best online
calendar services, meaning you can view your schedule on any device.
12. Google CalendarThe Google Calendar app recently got a major update on Android and iOS, and the improvements aren't just cosmetic. The new Agenda View is probably the biggest difference, as it focuses on your upcoming agenda rather than the traditional calendar layout. The calendar service itself remains one of the most used, with the added bonus of being compatible with many third-party calendar sources.
13. Sunrise Calendar
If you already use an online calendar service and don't want to switch to Google Calendar, then Sunrise Calendar is your best option. After its recent acquisition by Microsoft, the app can now sync with Outlook, iCloud and even Google Calendar, so most popular services are covered.
Document application
Granted, typing on a mobile device isn't as easy as using a full-size desktop keyboard, but sometimes, you just need to get work done on the go. These next two apps are your best options when it comes to creating and editing documents on iOS or Android.
14. Microsoft Word
Microsoft makes money by installing Windows on nearly every school and office computer in the world, so most of us are already familiar with Microsoft Word. The mobile app offers just about every feature you could possibly need, and with OneDrive document syncing, you can switch between Android and iOS freely.
15. Google Docs
When it comes to cross-platform web-based documentation applications, Google Docs is the granddaddy of them all. Your documents are automatically saved to the cloud, so you can switch between devices to edit them on the fly. While it's not as ubiquitous as Microsoft Word, Google Docs has the ability to save documents in Microsoft's DOCX format, so the files you create can be used almost anywhere.
Music application
Whether you prefer to play your own MP3s or stream music from online radio stations, it's important to find a cross-platform service so you don't waste money on something that only works on one device.
16. Spotify Music
Spotify is the most popular streaming music service, and for good reason. Spotify’s premium service, which costs $9.99 a month to remove ads and stream any song, still gives free users access to thousands of curated playlists. When you combine Spotify's native Android and iOS apps with the web-based player, it means you can access all of that music from any internet-connected device.
17. Google Play Music
Google's streaming music service is my personal favorite because it offers the best of both worlds. You get curated playlists and online radio stations like Spotify, but you can also upload up to 50,000 of your own MP3s that will stream to all your devices. All of this is free in the ad-supported version, but for $9.99 a month, the ads are removed and you get access to YouTube Red as a bonus.
18. Apple Music
Apple finally has an Android app, and it's a good one. A limited edition is free, but for $9.99 a month, you get access to Apple's entire music catalog, as well as curated playlists and a live radio station called Beats 1. Apple Music is the default app on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch (iOS 9 or later), so all you need to do is install it on your Android device to access your music anytime, anywhere.
News app
There are thousands, if not millions, of online news services, but only a handful of them may be to your personal liking. That's why it's important to have an app that remembers your favorite sources no matter what device you're using.
19. News Republic
News Republic allows you to choose the type of news you want to read, then presents the latest headlines in a topic-based format that caters to your interests. Once you sign up for an account, these topics follow you across any of your devices, and as you use them, News Republic learns more about your preferences as you read, so the service gets better.
20. Flipboard
Flipboard is functionally similar to News Republic, with one major difference. Instead of using paging or scrolling views, Flipboard is named for the intuitive vertical flipping action that resembles turning the pages of a book. The end result is a visually stunning experience that's a joy to use on iOS or Android.
Podcast app
If you want to listen to news and current events through your headphones, you need a good podcast app. Since you probably subscribe to a lot of podcasts, your best bet is an app that can sync subscriptions across devices.
21. Pocket Casts
There's really only one cross-platform podcast app worth using — but on the plus side, it's universally hailed as the best podcast app for Android and iOS. Pocket Casts has a clean interface that makes discovering and syncing podcasts easy, but the downside is that it's a paid app, which means you have to buy Pocket Casts on both mobile platforms.
Internet service application
Sure, you have browsers on both devices to view webpages, but it's easy to forget where you left off. These last two apps can help simplify your browsing experience by combining popular web services and making them available on any device.
22. Pocket
If you come across an interesting article but don't have time to read it, Pocket can be of great help. First, you install the Pocket browser extension for Chrome, Safari, or Firefox, then whenever you come across an interesting website or article, you just click on the Pocket icon. From there, open Pocket on your mobile device and you'll find all the sites you've saved for later.
23. IF (formerly IFTTT)
Don't you wish all your favorite web services could work together like these cross-platform applications? With IF, they finally will. The basic premise is if this, then that, it works across hundreds of services - so you can make "recipes" like me updating my Facebook cover photo and then also updating my Twitter photo. Since it relies primarily on internet service, most recipes should work seamlessly on Android and iOS.
Do you know of any great cross-platform apps for Android and iOS that aren't listed here? If so, tell us about them in the comments section below, or drop us a line on Facebook, Google+, or Twitter for Android Hacks or Gadget Hacks.

How to Make Your Own GB WhatsApp Sticker Packs on Android?
GB WhatsApp stickers can make your chat more interesting. The stickers that come with GBWhatsApp are good, they are standard and available to everyone. What if you want to show off a unique sticker your friends haven't seen before? To be unique, you can create your own stickers.
Whether you want to create stickers for inside jokes or your next meme right on your phone, you can use your Android device to make fully custom GB WhatsApp stickers. You can use any image, and we'll also show you how to remove backgrounds from photos for a cool sticker look.
Step 1: Install Personal Stickers
Besides GB WhatsApp itself, you'll need at least one app installed to create custom sticker packs. First up is an app called Personal Stickers by developer handyCloset that lets you turn your own images into GBWhatsApp stickers. To download the app, visit the link below from your mobile phone.
Step 2: Install Background Eraser (Optional)
Secondly, if you want to customize your image to have a transparent background, download the background eraser app. This app is designed to remove the background from your images and make them more suitable for pasting.
For example, if you want to take a photo of a rubber duck and make the background transparent so you can only see the duck when it turns into a sticker, Background Eraser app makes it easy. However, if you don't mind your sticker being an exact copy of the picture (i.e. a rectangle), or if you plan to use an image that already has a transparent background, you can skip this step.
Step 3: Decide on 3 images to make stickers
In order to create a sticker pack, you need at least three images. These can be pictures that you want to edit to make the background transparent, or pictures that already have a transparent background. Alternatively, you can use any opaque image, but know that your sticker will appear as-is (usually a rectangle).
You can search Google for images with transparent backgrounds. If you search for an image and it ends with the file type ".png" (eg: "duck.png"), you will get PNG results, which usually return images with transparent backgrounds. These types of images make great stickers because the edges are already cut for you.
Whichever way you go, find three pictures that you want to turn into GB WhatsApp stickers.
Step 4: Edit Your Photo (Optional)
This step is only required if you want to remove the background from the image. Open the Background Eraser app. Click the "Load Photo" button. Next, you will be taken to your image file. Choose where you want your sticker images to be (in most cases, they will be in Gallery), then choose Camera. Select an image to turn into a sticker.
Once the image is selected, you can crop the image by dragging the pink arrow back and forth to focus on the sticker target. For best results, crop as much as possible, then tap Done.
Next, you need to erase any unwanted background while making the background transparent. What each function does is explained below. We mostly use Auto to remove most of the background and Magic to clean up the more detailed parts of the image.
- Extract: Use this to select the areas you want to keep and highlight the areas you want to delete. Use the blue "Keep" markers to draw around the areas you want to keep. Then, using the red "delete" markers, outline the area you want to delete.
- Auto: The surrounding area will be deleted intelligently. This works well if the desired sticker has a background that contrasts sharply with the sticker's theme.
- Magic: Similar to auto, but it doesn't remove anything other than the crosshairs. This is useful for zooming in and precisely removing any unwanted background.
- Manual: Just delete the part of the image you touch.
- Fix: If you make a mistake, you can fix it.
- Zoom: You can use two fingers to zoom in and out with touch controls. For more detailed images, you may need to zoom in for more precise editing.
- Sliders: Each tool has a slider. You can increase or decrease the slider to change the reticle size. On Auto, the slider changes the threshold for how much is taken away.
- Cursor Offset: Added an offset so you can see what you're editing without your finger getting in the way. The offset makes your editing actions happen above where your fingers are. You can change the offset to zero or higher according to your preference. At first, it's a bit confusing, but after cleaning up a few images you get used to it.
When you are satisfied with the result, press the "Done" button. Here you can choose the Smooth Edges level to help reduce rough edges. If your image has a lot of detail left with sharp edges, this will help it look softer. After choosing the best smoothing level, press Save. When you save an image, it creates a new copy and saves it in a new "Eraser" folder.
Repeat this step if you want to edit more images. Remember, you need at least three images to make a custom GB WhatsApp sticker pack.
Step 5: Create Your Sticker Pack
Now, launch the Stickers app you downloaded in step 1. You may need to accept some permission requests, so do so now. Then, tap the "Create New Sticker Pack" button from the main menu.
A popup will ask if you want to add the new sticker pack to GBWhatsApp. Press the "Add" button. Once the sticker is added to GB WhatsApp, a button will appear below the sticker saying "Added to GBWhatsApp".
On the Sticker Pack Editor page, press the Add Sticker button. Here you will be taken to your image. Choose a picture of yourself that you want to be in the sticker pack. After selecting an image, you will see it in the stickers app. Here you can resize, move or crop the image by dragging or zooming with your finger. Press the "Load" button when you are done editing. Repeat this step until you have added all desired stickers.
NOTE: Images you edit will have a black background in your gallery.
By default, the Stickers app has three stickers, one green and two with a "?". Since sticker packs always require three stickers, you must add stickers before removing the default stickers.
After adding three of your own stickers, you can delete the default stickers. Tap on the default sticker and press the delete button. You can rearrange the stickers if you like. A long press will move your sticker one position to the left. You may want to do this because the first stickers in your pack will be index stickers.
Step 6: Show off your new stickers
Now, launch GB WhatsApp and select a conversation. Click on the next Sticker button — Smiley. Here, you should find your new custom sticker pack. You'll see your first sticker as a sticker index. Now you can post your stickers in any chat on GBWhatsApp!

Require
